Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have reconciled following a six-week period in which neither appeared publicly with the other, with two individuals who know the couple confirming that the relationship has resumed and describing it as in a stronger position than before the hiatus began.

The couple was observed together at a dinner at a West Hollywood restaurant on Thursday evening, arriving separately and spending approximately two hours at a corner table. A person present at the restaurant described the atmosphere between them as relaxed. Neither Jenner's nor Chalamet's representative responded to requests for comment on the relationship's current status.

A photograph posted by Jenner on her Instagram account earlier in the week, showing two hands resting on what appeared to be a white linen tablecloth, attracted significant attention from followers and entertainment media. The post carried no caption or tag. A person close to Jenner said the image was intentional and that Jenner was aware of how it would be interpreted.

A second source, who described themselves as knowing both parties, said the reconciliation had not been sudden. "They took some time. They worked through what happened. They're in a genuinely better place," the source said. The source characterised the weeks of reduced public visibility as a period of deliberate privacy rather than a final separation.

Chalamet addressed questions about his personal life in a profile interview published last month. "I keep that part of my life private," he said. "That's where I want it to stay." He did not address the speculation about his relationship with Jenner.

The couple first appeared together publicly in September of the previous year. Their relationship attracted considerable media attention given both of their profiles — Jenner as a member of one of television's most prominent families and Chalamet as one of his generation's most critically recognised actors.

The sources who spoke about the reconciliation said people in the couple's wider circle were supportive of the reunion.
